How it works

A single-writer CLOB per symbol on top of an event-sourced state machine. That architecture gives you three practical properties.

Regulatory queries answered in minutes

Any historical state is a replay away. A regulator asks “show me the book at 14:32:07 UTC on 3 May” — you replay to that timestamp on a laptop. Not a two-week engineering project.

Reproducible post-mortems

Every trade is written to a fsynced WAL before it’s acked. When a customer disputes a fill, our team can reconstruct exactly what the engine saw at any moment in the past — no guesswork, no log-scraping.

Safe deploys

Every deploy verifies against the last snapshot before accepting new orders. A binary that can’t reproduce the current book state refuses to boot. No silent state corruption.
